Conscious Breathing

Notice how your breathing changes because of what you are thinking, feeling, or doing.

1. Where do you breathe from? Your tummy? Chest? Throat? Place your hands on you tummy and chest. Feel them rise and fall with the rhythm of your breath.

Think of a situation when you were scared. How do you breathe when you are scared? Think of a situation where you are relaxed. How do you breathe when you are relaxed?

Act B

Find at least five different things or activities that affect the way you breathe (ex. running, walking, sitting quietly, being scared, being excited…) Can the same kind of breathing mean different things? How can you use your breath to feel calm and strong?
